National Registry of Pipeline and LNG Operators

ViaData note: The links in blue below will send emails or open the selected form.

The online system for the National Registry of Pipeline and LNG Operators is currently under development. The National Registry requirement is effective January 1, 2012; however, since the system is still being developed, certain functions of the National Registry will be facilitated through the completion of the hard copy PDF form which can be downloaded from this National Registry under construction page by clicking on the corresponding link of the form you need. If an operator needs to apply for an operator identification (OPID) number or submit an operator notification per §191.22 and/or §195.64 while the National Registry is still under development, the operator should download the PDF form that corresponds to the action to be taken. The development schedule below details the three functions that will be handled by the National Registry and when PHMSA anticipates the system functionality will be available to operators to ensure compliance with the new requirement. Until the system functions noted below are available online, operators should submit their OPID assignment requests and/or operator notifications on the corresponding form to the following email address InformationResourcesManager@dot.gov. If you have questions regarding the National Registry requirement, please send an email to the Information Resources Manager at InformationResourcesManager@dot.gov or call 202.366.8075 for assistance.
